One thing to remember is that we are involved in our own tango dances and are as tightly entwined with our many partners, even though we don't really know these people, the dance goes on. We have to ask ourselves whether or not we are doing justice to the tango of life, or if we are doing a half-assed job of it. Are our movements sharp and smart, or or we just faking the movements and being pushed around. Are we moving in the right direction or just going with the flow of others. Are we the passive participants, or the lead dancers. The tango is a dance of leadership and following, and we can play either role.
So much for this flow of thoughts. But on a similar topic, talk about one of my favourite series. It has to do with dancing and watching the stars come out, and compete. You might have guessed that it was Dancing With the Stars. I became addicted to the series, and found myself judging others as they graced the stage. I was astounded that I actually was cheering for Heather Mills McCartney in the spring as she competed with the others, although she had an obvious handicap, she did marvellously well and she no doubt rose in esteem with most of America. She managed to endear herself, and people forgot that she actually was in a brutal divorce case with the boyish, and seemingly sweet Paul McCartney.
