I don't want anyone to think that I am trying to cause trouble with the state of conflict between men and women. In the last entry from yesterday, I probably was a little too hasty in suggesting a vindictive scenario between husband and wife. I am not taking sides, and feel that we improve ourselves with the challenges we meet in everyday exchanges with our polar opposites. A man will say things that can truly rile up a woman and woman will stew over the words, because she is more focused on verbal communication and its impact. A man can be oblivious of this fact and needs to keep focused on the positive, nurturing quality that is somewhere in his nature. A woman, on the otherhand can be a little devious in some ways, more apt to hold on to a feeling and negative emotion until it festers and erupts in some sort of bad behaviour. This of course is my generalization, and I could be wrong and am willing to admit it.
I had fun yesterday with the RLS vs. WJL scenario and the marketing of a condition but I know that people do suffer from this. Two studies released offer new evidence that inheritance plays a role in restless leg syndrome, an uncomfortable and sometimes painful feeling in the legs that can wreak havoc with sleep. From my research on the web, it is a serious problem. Researchers report that they have found three pieces of the human genetic code that are linked to RLS, giving more scientific backing to a condition sometimes derided as normal restlessness. I still think it is amusing that lots of commedians have jumped on the RLS bandwagon in order to get a few chuckles.
signing off for now...
